The 15th Annual Youth Lacrosse Festival at Choate will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2010. The teams will participate in day long round robin scrimmages played on 6 fields. Start time will be 9:00 AM. Game format: each team will play four (4) 40-minute running clock scrimmages broken into two (2) 20-minute halves. There will be a 5 minute half time and a 5 minute travel period between each contest. All games will start and stop simultaneously with a blast from a centralized horn. Teams will switch ends each half. Certified lacrosse officials will control play on the field. Posted Festival rules must be followed by players, coaches, and spectators.

Food & Concessions
A Bar-B-Q lunch for each player and coach is included in the team's entry fee. Roster sizes will be limited to a maximum of 25, including coaches (for lunch planning purposes). Team lunches will be from served from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM. A Bar-B-Q lunch will be available for parents and significant others as well.

Limited edition T-shirts will be available the day of the event. Each year the shirts sell out in a very short time. If your team has an interest in these shirts, they can be pre-ordered.

A huge raffle will be held at 3 PM. Tickets will be selected and the numbers will be posted on a board in the concession area. Hundreds and hundreds of $$$ dollars worth of items will be raffled off. I.E. (but not limited to) full camp scholarship ($525.00), sticks, gloves, shafts, helmets, camp gift certificates and more.

Cheshire Sports will be the on-site vendor for the Festival. They will have a complete stock of lacrosse items for both boys and girls. Cheshire Sports is also the leader in field hockey and ice hockey equipment. Additionally, they provide uniforms, screen printing and embroidery services.

From the South: Take I-91 north to exit 14. Turn left on Woodhouse Road. Go through 2nd traffic light at Center Street. At 2nd stop sign go left on Christian Street. As you come down second hill you will see the football field; go left just before the football field and follow that school road to the Johnson Athletic Center on the left.

From the North: Take exit 15. Turn right onto route 68. Turn left at the third traffic light onto North Farms Road (becomes North Elm Street). Turn left at the 5th stop sign onto Christian Street. Take a right just after the football field and follow that school road to the Johnson Athletic Center on the left.

From the West: Take I-84 east to Cheshire exit 27 (I-691). Follow I-691 to I-91/Wilbur Cross parkway exit. Stay left off the exit to I-91 south and follow directions from the North.

If your team is in need of accommodations, I suggest that you contact the Courtyard by Marriott at (203) 284.9400 or the Fairfield Inn (203) 284.0001 directly across the street. Both properties are located at exit 15 off I-91. From there it is just a 5 minute drive to the Choate campus.
